When i saw this movie iwas so in love with them Omg Clint and Meryl was always going to be a winner Absolutely convincing story of life and unexpected moments in time I loved mostly that my least romantic husband never moved or spoke a word through the entiritu of the movie He was as hooked as i was Masterful story telling and no two actors could have been that convincing I thought they were truly in love....sad circumstances
For me, this is the best film ever ... 👌🌸✨
One of the most gut-wrenching movies I have ever seen. If you want to seem an excellent romantic movie, that is cinematically superior!!!! Clint and Meryl ambush your feeling! Stunning!!!
Meryl Streep Fenomen Women
One of the best films ever
Este clip es una joya, esta realmente feliz! Esta filmando Ironweed y el premio debe ser por Heartburn
That book, I read it at university. It never leaves you. @ 10:31 That libido, William, is Nathan and Sophie's escape through the act of creation because the present and the past are so unbearable.
She is so wonderful 😊
Ok, but that song would've worked so perfectly for him in that scene
Extraordinario film!
She was filming Falling in love with Bob De Niro at that time. Love that movie
She was filming Falling in love with Bob De Niro at that time. Love that movie
Simplemente LA MEJOR!!!!!!
Patton? More like Hillary Clinton, you Weinstein lap dog.
Yeah it’s just reinforced why I couldn’t make as an actor or a pro golfer…🫠. Still better than most
Rest in Peace: Barbara Walters (1929-2022)
Great ensemble acting drama that was magnificent. Thanks to the great Stacy Letts for writing such an incredible piece, and to the great Sam Shepard and Meryl Streep who acted the heck out of their respective parts and headed an incredible cast. We need more character driven films like this instead of “explosion” films.
Terrific she was definitely not. M Thatcher was definitely not terrific. She dismantled our public limited companies, owned by the people and sold out the family silver from under our feet to corporations, she took power away from the people from unions and sold off social housing while her husband profited from his funny handshake business deals. She was known as Margaret Thatcher the Milk Snatcher and I remember when she took away milk from primary school children. Britain was broke but she sold us out, dismantled manufacturing not everything should've have been sold off. Now we are suffering by Corporations who care little for services or people just profit for their shareholders. I hated her, she sent people with Learning Disabilities and serious Mental Health problems and dumped them in the community with no transition it was disturbing for them as they couldn't cope with paying bills etc and ended up homeless. She destroyed the North of England and we had the highest unemployment. I hated her and I still do.
How profound
No disrespect but Meryl looks like princess Diana right there
I adore Justin Henry and Dustin Hoffman. Meryl Streep is a fantastic actress! Please don't underestimate the guys also. Jane Alexander, JoBeth Williams, and everyone else too is great!!!!!
All of you were delightful
Possibly the best movie ever. Because it touched on so many large life issues that everyone who has ever loved has grappled with. Streep knows how to love and wants to show it. I learned so much about myself. Am having trouble easing back into my reality. This movie is profoundly disturbing and beautiful at the same time. It has caused me to rethink my whole life. have I really lived it or just watched it unfold?
Dustin is wrong she’s thinking of how Billy will see her not the shot it’s what a woman with runny mascara would ask in the situation he’s response is spot on though totally in character
Webster defines a Bitch as being a female dog. Referring a woman in power as a bitch is defined as follows. B-eing I-n T-toal C-ontrol H-erself.
Seriously, I’ve been watching her reaction to her daughter’s video over and over, and I cannot believe this woman embodied Miranda Priestly 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mt father grew up in Winterset IA, his father, my grandfather was in Iowa legislature when the decision to build the covered bridges was made. When I saw a book entitled “Bridges of Madison County” I obviously expected something completely different. I quickly fell in love with the story. Of course I saw the movie and unusually I actually liked the movie better than the book. Now I know why, Eastwood is a film genius.
1996 at the oscars, the film was in one cathegory nomminted! Meryl for best actress...thats it! 🤦♂
They have a hell lot of chemistry together 🧪
Great actors, great movie, great interview 😊?
She is so sweet! And yes luckily some people saw „the cry in the dark“, such an important movie!
Omg she is so cute! For what movie did she win?
I think is for Heartburn
I hate how they just insult each other, I don't think other European Parliaments do this
Meryl Streep has always been exceptional!!!!
Love Meryl, can’t stand Anne (make it about me) Hathaway
I enjoyed watching these scenes. For me, though, I'm not too disappointed that most of these scenes were not in the final cut, though a couple of them would have added to the narrative or explained things. I would like it they'd have kept the scene where Farah tells Karen that it can rain some day now, meaning that the rainy season is coming and that Bror will likely be coming home soon. It shows how lonely she was. Also, when he tells her that Bror is in the forrest. It explains how she knew where to meet him on the road when she tells him that she wants him to come home. Something I had wondered about. It would also have been nice to keep the scenes with the giraffes and elephants to show how majestic those animals were that they were living amongst. Can you imagine what it would have been like to just casually ride your horse among giraffes or go for an evening stroll and come across elephants so close up? Karen wrote in one of her books that the elephants were so plentiful that she once flew for ten minutes with Denys before seeing the end of a herd. Now they're almost gone, but I digress.. The scene where Farah is tending to Karen's wounds was in final cut but this portion of the scene was not in the final cut except when he says "Msabu is bleeding, she does not have this ox." In the final cut, he goes on to say "The lion is hungry, he does not have this ox. The wagon is heavy, it does not have this ox. God is happy, Msabu. He plays with us." One of my favorite movies!
Two of these scenes were in the final cut but they are different versions of the scenes. The scene at the doctors office was played a little differently by Meryl in the final cut and in the final cut, she didn't ask about her chances of having children. The other scene that was in movie was the 'don't move' love scene. The scene with Berkeley at dinner was in the movie but this part of the scene was cut. The rest of the scenes were not in the final cut. For me, some don't really add anything but the ones that would have contributed to the story were the dinner scene with Berkeley (says a lot about Denys's character); the scene where Karen asks Denys to help her with the farm (he did actually invest in her farm); where Karen and Farah are talking about the poem (she would eventually read at Denys's funeral); and the one where she has to let her farm manager go. In the final cut when she tells Denys that she let him go, it's so brief that it's easy to miss, so the scene would have been nice to explain why.
Barbara was totally smitten by famous people.
Very good acting by both speakers (David Westhead being the other actor). Great quotes (albeit derisory). Great scene. Thanks for this clip.
The look on her face when they were in the kitchen or when he was outside with his shirt off washing up, her body language would make you believe she's about to explode. I mean she look extremely aroused. My girlfriend called it extremely horny but I’m not gonna say that.
She’s the greatest actress!!!
She has this soft, eloquent beauty that remains me of princess Diana herself. Pleasing to look at and to listen.
Kevin Kline was brilliant in this film. He WAS Nathan. Just a masterpiece!
Meryl Streep, Clint Eastwood. Already absolute legends of cinema. As for the movie ? Superb ! I can relate to the story in so many way's . For me it's sometimes a hard but bitter sweet watch . I rate it as one of Clint's best work ever.
